Aduana Stars returned to second spot after pipping Bechem United 1-0 in the regional derby at the Agyeman Badu Park in Dormaa Ahenkro in the Ghana Premier League on Sunday.
The tie did not travel far before the deadlock was broken. Striker Richard Addae drew first blood for the host with a 14th minute opening goal.
Bechem went into the game with a winning mentality knowing a defeat could spell doom for their relegation survival battle.
But Aduana who lost their second spot to WAFA due to their win on Saturday showed no mercy as Addae sent the host in front and also register his sixth goal of the campaign.
