Match Report: Aduana Stars 1-0 Liberty Professionals - Bright Adjei's lone strike restores Fire Club to winning ways

Aduana Stars returned to winning ways after pipping Liberty Professionals 1-0 at the Nana Agyemang-Badu Park in Dormaa in the Ghana Premier League on Saturday.

Bright Adjei raced Aduana Stars into the lead when he scored in the 8th minute.

The win means the Blues have managed a back-to-back win over Liberty after beating the Scientific Soccer Lads in the reverse fixture in Dansoman in the first round.

Yahaya Mohammed, Elvis Opoku and Richard Mpong all had decent chances in the first-half to increase the tally but they failed to make use of the opportunities.

Liberty returned from the break to dominate the proceedings and threaten the host's half.

Tamimu Muntari orchestrated several moves but he was curtailed by the defence of Aduana.

Aduana were forced to withdraw winger Richard Mpong due to injury. Bulky striker Derrick Sasraku was introduced in his place but he could not help increase the tally before the game petered out.
