Sadick Adams

Sadick Adams scored the only goal as Asante Kotoko defeated Berekum Chelsea 1-0 and finish their home campaign unbeaten.

Their home record reads; 15 games, 8 wins and 7 draws. They managed 17 goals and conceded 6.

With the gate opened free for ladies and Senior High School students,  Asante Kotoko made a terrific start and it came as no surprise when Sadick Adams gave them the lead in the 9th minute. The striker unleashed a blistering strike which goalie John Moosie could not save.

However, Moosie will come to the rescue of Chelsea - pulling a brilliant double save in 43rd minute - to ensure the first half ended with Kotoko having a slim advantage.

The second department saw Kotoko dominate but rarely threatened Chelsea, who felt comfortable sitting deep and using the counter-attack. But Kotoko coach Steven Pollack was sent off into the hands for disrespecting referee.

Despite the win, Kotoko have to win away against relegation threaten Liberty Professionals to finish in the top four.
