Published on: 13 March 2016

Two goals from experience striker Sadick Adams ensured Berekum Chelsea beat Asante Kotoko 2-0 in the Ghana premier league at the Golden City park on Sunday.

The former Ghana U-17 and U-23 star scored twice in a space of four minutes in the first department of the game to extend Chelsea's unbeaten record at home to 40 games.

Berekum Chelsea have won 31 times and drawn 9 in their last 40 League games at the Golden city. Their last defeat dates back to 2012 when they lost 0-1 to Amidaus professionals.

Kotoko, following back to back draws with Medeama and Ashanti Gold and no win were expected by their teeming supporters to secure maximum points at Berekum to get their season back on track but were unable, plunging them into drop zone.

The Blues were by far the better side in the first half as they dominated play and made the most of their chances. Sadick Adams twice beat the off side trap set by the relatively naive defenders of the porcupines in the 20th and 24th minute to become second best striker with three goals this season.

Kotoko up their performance in the second half. They made a couple of incursions into the half of Chelsea but it yielded no results.

The result leaves coach David Duncan under immense pressure and it will come as no surprise if he's shown the exit before Kotoko's next assignment against Sekondi Hasaacas.

Berekum Chelsea will host Medeama SC at home on Match Day 5.
