Berekum Chelsea climbed to second spot on the Ghanaian Premier League table after triumphing 2-0 over New Edubiase United at the Golden City Park in Berekum on Sunday.

Kingsley Effah sealed the victory for the host after New Edubiase United goalkeeper George Arthur theatrically toss a ball to Stephen Asare Baffour who rounded him up to score the opener for the Blues.

Edubiase's defensive machinery did its work when it prevented Chelsea from scoring in the first-half despite creating a host of chances.

But they seemed worked out after the break following successive pressure from Chelsea's attackers.

Chelsea's opening goal which was scored in the 63rd minute came under bad circumstances as goalkeeper George Arthur unbelievable gifted a ball to Baffour who gleefully rounded up the keeper and buried the ball into the gaping net.

The goal seemed to have broken the shield of the visitors as Kingsley Effah sealed the win for the home side
