Leaders WAFA burnished their title credentials with a vintage 2-1 win over Elmina Sharks on the road on Sunday.
The Academy Boys produced a title-winning performance and Daniel Lomotey grabbed the goals in the first half.
Lomotey's first on 28 minutes was exhilarating when he dribbled three defenders before walking the ball into the net.
Nine minutes later, he started the build up, played the one-two with Justice Amate and collected the wall pass to fire home his fourth goal of the season.
Substitute Samuel Arthur got the consolation at the death which happened to be the last activity of the match.
WAFA have a four point lead above second-placed Asante Kotoko.
