Match Report: Inter Allies 0-0 Kotoko - champions' winning streak in Premier League halted
Inter Allies hold Kotoko

Inter Allies held Asante Kotoko to a goalless draw on Sunday to end the new found winning streak of the champions.

Kotoko, who have put together three successive wins coming into the game at the Tema Park had the ball in the net in the second minute off an Eric Donkor corner but the goal was disallowed for an infringement.

David Duncan’s side, buoyed by their opening spark went on to boss the game in the immediate minutes off kickoff but struggled to create chances.

Ahmed Toure was put through on goal in the 6th minute but the momentary threat was snuff out by the Inter Allies defence.

Inter Allies finally got a golden chance of their own to score against the run of play two minutes later after and uncharacteristic mistake by Ahmed Adams but the hosts failed to convert.

The Tema-based side built on thereafter to start having an effect on the game.

Both teams however failed to maintain the early momentum of the game as it sluggishly headed into recess with no goals registered from either sides.

The second half saw a bit of an improvement but then both sides were still struggling to assert dominance.

Changes were made by both benches, in particular, Dauda Mohammed coming on for Ahmed Toure.

In the end, both teams grinded it out to settle for a deserved draw.
