Match Report: Liberty Professionals 0-0 Great Olympics- Beleaguered Dade Boys put their acts together in Liberty stalemate

Published on: 16 April 2017

Liberty Professionals were held to a 0-0 stalemate by Great Olympics in week 12 of the Ghana Premier League at the Carl Reindorf Park on Sunday.

Olympics did not let off field affect their performance as they were the brightest side in the early stages of the encounter and could opened the scoring in the 20th minute through Bernardinho Tettteh but a great reflexive save by goalkeeper Eric Andoh kept the scoreline at bay.

But the Scientific Soccer boys came out from their shells as they took the game to the away side but could not break the deadlock as referee Otis Oppong brought the first stanza to an end.

Olympics improved in the second half but failed to create any clear cut chance.

Liberty could have carried the day in the 76th minute when striker Papa Arko thought his fierce shot had given his side the lead but great goalkeeping by Odonkor kept the scores at 0-0.

That was the last action of the encounter as referee Otis Oppong blew his whistle for the whole game to come to close.
