Match Report: Liberty Professionals 1-0 Inter Allies - Ebo Mends late strike downs ten-man Allies in Dansoman
Liberty Professionals defeated Inter Allies

Youngster Edward Ebo Mends scored a clinical late finish for Liberty Professionals as the Scientific Soccer Lads managed a narrow 1-0 win over Greater Accra rivals Inter Allies at the Karl Reindorf Park in Dansoman in the Ghana Premier League on Sunday.

The 19-year-old left it late to strike claim a priceless victory for George Lamptey's side and send Paa Kwesi Fabin and his charges back to Tema in bad mood.

A well tactically disciplined Allies side defended gallantly and held for most parts of the exchanges after former Ghana U20 defender Baba Mensah was sent off as early as the 14th minute of the encounter.

Liberty have climbed up 40 points on the ladder and need to win one of their last two games of the season to survive relegation.

While Allies still sit at fourth place with 41 points despite the defeat.
