Medeama produced a remarkable second-half display to beat Berekum Chelsea 3-1 at home in a delayed Ghana Premier League fixture on Thursday.

Defender Paul Aidoo opened the scoring from the home side through the spot kick in the 17th minute.

But Stephen Sarfo pulled parity for the visitors on the 31st minute mark to end the first half.

The Mauve and Yellows returned from the recess reinvigorated and went ahead in the 68th minute after Bernard Ofori capitalized on a rebound to head home.

Substitute Bismark Oppong put the icing on the cake with the side's third goal at the Tarkwa and Aboso Park to move up to 5th on the league table.

The fixture initially billed to take place on Wednesday was moved forward to Thursday after a heavy downpour.

The win is a massive result for coach Augustine Adotey, whose side lost their home game against Ashantigold.

The win lifts Medeama to 5th position on the standings with 28 points.
