Medeama sporting club return to winning ways with a 2-0 victory over Bechem united in the Ghana premier league on Sunday.

Prolific striker Abass Mohammed and Akwasi Donsu scored to inspire Mauves back to win column and move away from relegation bracket.

The Mauves following back to back defeat in the MTN FA Cup and Premier league within a span of four days were desperate to win and they got off to a flyer against poor travellers Bechem.

Abass Mohammed fetched the opening goal in the ninth minute. The goal was the prolific striker's 5th goal in five games this season.

Before last season MTN FA cup most valuable player Akwasi Donsu earn all spoils for Medeama with a good effort in the second half.

Coach Tom Strand, whose future has become a matter of intense conjecture in the local media returned to the bench after missing the trip to Berekum last Wednesday.

The Swedish trainer is reported to be at loggerheads with his club after GHANAsoccernet.com revealed Kotoko officials had held 'secret talks' with him over the move.

Medeama will travel to Sudan to take on Al Shendi in the first leg of CAF confederation cup this week.
