Tema Youth moved away from the relegation area thanks to a timely 3-1 victory against Inter Allies at the Tema Stadium on Sunday.
The defeat ends Inter Allies four game unbeaten run, including the 1-0 win over Kotoko in midweek, and left them outside the top four. Tema Youth win also means they are 12th on the log, two points above the red line with seven games remaining.
Abdul Nasiru gave the visitors the lead in the 39th minute but that lasted for five minutes as Francis Adjetey restored parity on the brink of half time.
The momentum obviously was on the side of the home team and they made it count as James Akmainko scored a stunning goal before Joseph Painstil secured maximum points with a neat effort on 63 minutes, his eighth of the campaign.
