Published on: 07 June 2015

Youngster Yakubu Wadudu scored a sublime finish for Wa All Stars as they smoothly edged WAFA 2-0 in their First Capital Ghana Premier League clash at the Wa Park on Sunday afternoon.

Wadudu's 45th minute strike hogged the headlines in the Upper West Regional capital as Stephen Nyarko added the second goal in the 78th minute to seal the win for the crusading All Stars.

The host were boosted by their inspiring first-round performance against Jon Keller's boys after holding them to a goalless stalemate from the reverse tie.

WAFA went into the game knowing they could surrender their second-place on the log but All Stars were in no mood to entertain them as they consigned them to comprehensive defeat.

WAFA's course on the afternoon suffered a massive blow as youngster Ashimeru Majid was sent off just a minute into the second-half.

The results means WAFA have suffered their second spot to Aduana Stars who were held to a 0-0 draw by Liberty Professionals.
