Wa All Stars resurgent continues with a 2-1 victory over Liberty Professionals in week 23 of the Ghana Premier League at the Malik Jabir Stadium on Sunday.

All Stars collected three maximum points against league title chasers Aduana Stars in midweek in post Enos Adepah era to revive their hopes of surviving relegation.

Both sides failed to create any clear-cut chance in the opening proceedings as the match looked set to end in a draw.

However, in the 8th minute time additional time, David Sandan Abagna produced a wonderful masterclass strike for the host before referee Ernest Baafi blew his whistle for the end of the half.

Wa All Stars pushed for the insurance goal at the start of the second half but wasted the opportunities the came their way.

Liberty, who are in dire need of points to aid their aim of surviving the drop pushed more men forward at the death of the match and deservedly leveled the score line through E Sarpong.

However, as the match looked set to end in a stalemate, Kevin Matthew Andoh popped up with a long range strike in the 94th minute to win the game for Wa All Stars.

The win lifts Wa All Stars 8th on the log with 31 points after 23 matches while Liberty dropped to 14th position with 26 points.
