Match Report: WAFA 2-1 Aduana Stars - Bashiru Umar strikes winner in Sogakope
Martin Antwi scored the opener for WAFA

Youngster Bashiru Umar struck the match-winner for West African Football Academy as they downed Aduana Stars 2-1 in the Ghana Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

There was an air of seriousness about this clash as soon as Martin Antwi raced the host into the lead with a 2nd minute strike at the Sogakope Park.

Richard Arhin's leveller came a couple of minutes into the second-half but Umar ensured WAFA ended the game with the maximum points as he powered home the match winner on the 63rd minute mark.

Aduana Stars' attempts to fight back and at least claim a point from the game was fruitless as Jon Keller's boys defended gallantly against a potent strikeforce led by former Hearts of Oak and Liberty Professionals forward James Abban and Elvis Opoku.
