Asante Kotoko striker Ahmed Toure made the difference as he scored twice and missed a penalty to help Kotoko end their two game winless streak.

Coach David Duncan’s men had their backs against the walls coming into this and clearly showed intent from the onset.

Dauda Moahmmed connected early from a well-placed pass from Jackson Owusu to give the Porcupine warriors a deserved lead but Olympics had other ideas of their own and quickly struck a response of their own with Edmund Sekyi taking advantage of a defensive mix up in the Kotoko defense to pull parity.

Ahmed Toure who had come under massive criticism for his performance in the last two games moved from bad to worse after seeing his penalty saved by Richrad Kingson but his frustration will last only for two minutes as he scored an absolute beauty to restore Kotoko’s lead.

And that was how it remained for the entire second half.

Olympics begun the second half on top and pilled pressure on the Kotoko defense and Daniel Appiah got the reward he deserved on the 53rd minute when he scored his first of the game and Olympics second on the day.

The pressure was back on the Champions but superb thinking from Ivorian hit man Ahmed Toure who has shown he likes playing at the Accra Sports stadium restored Kotoko’s lead on the 63rd minute which ultimately secured the three point.

Olympics will now have to start picking up after failing to win their last three games.
