GHANASoccernet.com understands Maxwell Konadu will include former Black Stars Stephen Appiah in his back room staff if he is confirmed stop-gap coach for next month’s AFCON qualifiers against Guinea.

The Ghana Football Association is expected to hand Maxwell Konadu the job on interim basis with the dismissal of Kwesi Appiah and the appointed of a new coach delayed.

Appiah played an instrumental role at the 2014 FIFA World Cup campaign and expected to be given an even major role for the double header against the Syli Nationale.

“We cannot confirm if the FA will make him the stop gap coach but if indeed he does get the nod one thing I am sure is that he will draft in Stephen Appiah into the team,” a source told GHANASoccernet.com

"He has a good relationship with Appiah and is certain he wont turn down the opportunity."
