TP Mazembe stepped up preparations for the Champions League clash against Berekum Chelsea by thrashing Muungano in a friendly on Thursday.

The game played at their newly constructed Mazembe stadium, saw Lungu Samata grabbing a brace before Rainford Kalaba and Sinkala scored the others to open their new facility on a positive note.

The Congolese giants will play host to their Ghanaian counterpart on July 22 in the second group phase of Africa’s elite competition and they have moved quickly to put their act together after they slipped at Al Alhy.

The victory will be a massive morale booster ahead of the clash against the debutant with Chelsea tipped to cause an upset.

The 2010 Ghanaian League Champions are also preparing for the game before they emplane for the clash.
