Medeama appoint Tanko Shaibu as new assistant coach

Medeama have appointed Tanko Shaibu Ibrahim as the club’s assistant coach.

The former Hearts of Oak deputy trainer has signed a three-year deal with the ambitious Ghanaian side and will assist head coach Bashir Hayford.

“We would like to confirm the appointment of Tanko Shaibu as our next assistant coach,” Executive vice president Albert Commey told medeamasc.com

“He has signed a three-year deal with the club. We hope he will bring his wealth of experience to bear on the technical direction of the team ahead of the start of the new soccer season.

“We wish him well in his new role and welcome him into our family.”

Ibrahim replaces Yusif Abubakar who was recently appointed by Berekum Chelsea as their new head coach.

Meanwhile former New Edubiase goalkeepers’ trainer Boison will assist Nasamu Yakubu.
