Medeama SC smoothly edged Asante Kotoko 3-1 in the semi-final of the Kofi Annan Cup on Thursday at the Robert Mensah Stadium in Cape Coast.

Mozart Adjetey pulled a super save to deny new signing Kofi Nti Boakye the opener through a spot kick before Ekow Benson and Hans Kwofie scored against their former club to put the Mauves and Yellows 2-0 up.

Frank Boateng then halved the deficit for the Porcupine Warriors with a second half penalty.

But new acquisition Francis Coffie, smashed home a 70th minute drive to put the game beyond Kotoko.

Medeama will play Ebusua Dwarfs which also qualified for the finals by drubbing Vipers 3-0.
