Medeama Chief makes cash donation to Chelsea for Champs League feat

Medeama President Moses Armah (Mospacka) has congratulated Berekum Chelsea for the Champions League progress with a $3000 donation.

The dethroned Ghana Premier League champions eliminated Cameroonian side Coton Sport in their own backyard to qualify for the group phase of the competition in just their first continental campaign.

Chelsea who becomes the first Ghanaian side in six years to make it this far in the competition have been hailed and encouraged by many to  keep hoisting the flag of Ghana high in the Champions League.

“It was a gesture of appreciation for how they (Chelsea)have made all Ghanaian proud in the Champions League,” Armah told GHANAsoccernet.com.

“As Ghanaians we need to give every piece of support to our only representative in Africa to ensure the glory and honour comes to our nation.

“And we on the Medeama side will by the grace of God keep supporting the encouraging our brothers to ensure they emerge successful.”

Chelsea have been drawn in a tough group alongside; Al Ahly, Zamalek and TP Mazembe who have all former champions of the Champions League.
