Medeama coach Augustine Evans Adotey is backing midfield general Kwesi Donsu to play himself into Black Stars squad after a phenomenal season with the 2016 CAF Confederation Cup campaigners.

The youngster had another excellent season with his reputation growing by the week.

Donsu's form has inevitably alerted potential purchasers, with speculation linking him with a big-money move away from Tarkwa next season.

The former Berekum Arsenals midfielder raked in 15 goals - 10 through free-kicks as the Yellow and Mauves finished fourth on the league table.

And coach Augustine Evans Adotey says it would be a fitting tribute for him to get into the Ghana squad ahead of the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon and crucially the 2018 World Cup qualifiers.

"He is showing the sort of form that could get him into the Black Stars squad," he said

"There aren't too many who can hold a candle to him at the moment, the form he is in.

"If you were the opposition, you would have to start worrying about him defensively because he keeps coming at you.  He has been terrific for us.

"His stamina, skill-set and accurate set-pieces makes him a valuable asset to any team.

"In my candid opinion, it will not be far-fetched to give him a try in the Black Stars. He is more than capable of playing in that team."

Donsu is hugely talented and highly-rated in Ghana with several bookmaker tipping for greatness.
