Medeama coach Bashir Hayford says the club are not interested in bringing veteran midfielder Stephen Oduro to Tarkwa next season.

The 29-year-old is set for an exit at Asante Kotoko after spending close to a decade at the club.

The lack of first team action by the former Real Tamale United enforcer has left him frustrated and he's confirmed  he will seek a move away to try his luck somewhere.

The Tarkwa-based side were reportedly considering given the veteran a shot at first team action at the club.

But Hayford, who coached Oduro during his days at the Kumasi-based club, has refuted reports linking his team with a move for the experienced midfielder.

“We’re not interested in him. We have other targets,” Hayford said

Oduro is refusing talks of retiring to enter into coaching insisting he still has a lot of firepower in him to carry on.
