Swedish trainer Tom Strand has boosted his CV and reputation after guiding Medeama to win the 2016 Ghana Super Cup on Sunday.

The highly-rated young European tactician improved his reputation after leading his side to beat Ashantigold 1-0 to lift his second major trophy in six months at the Accra Sports stadium.

Strand joined Medeama two seasons ago from Bechem United and has since demonstrated his tactical prowess.

The 35-year-old has been hugely credited for the rapid transformation of the Tarkwa-based side since he took charge.

Ghanaian flair - in the form of highly-rated midfieder Kwesi Donsu along with a crop of talented and hungry players, have helped to put Medeama on the map.

And with the continued financial backing of hugely respected business tycoon, Moses Armah, Tom Strand's men will be looking to make an even bigger impact on the continental stage.

The two-time FA Cup champions will represent Ghana in this year's CAF Confederation Cup.
