Medeama confirm Kennedy Boateng injury blow

Medeama have confirmed via their website that striker Kennedy Boateng suffered an ankle injury during their 2-1 defeat at Maghreb de Fes in the CAF Confederation Cup match and will be out for four weeks.

The CHAN star picked up the knock in Morocco and will miss a couple of games for the Mauve and Yellows,”

“Kennedy suffered an injury during the return leg fixture of the CAF Confederation Cup against MAS,” a club statement read

“He has therefore been ruled out for four weeks. The doctors will continue to monitor his progress.

“We wish him speedy recovery.”

Boateng will thus miss a couple of Premier League games as well as the first leg of the CAF Confederation Cup match against Zambian side Zesco United.

He becomes the latest player to suffer and injury after Joseph Jackson was ruled out for two weeks after an ankle sprain.
