Medeama confirm participation in next year's CAF Confederation Cup

Medeama have confirmed their participation in next year’s CAF Confederation Cup.

The FA Cup holders have officially notified the Ghana FA of their readiness to play in Africa inter-club competition following their domestic triumph.

The Tarkwa-based beat Kotoko to clinch FA Cup last month to represent the country at next year’s competition.

Medeama is expected to benefit immensely from an imminent partnership agreement with Saudi Arabia side Al Wahda.

The club’s major sponsors Goldfield and Ghana Manganese Company have promised to foot their African campaign bill, paving way for the club to begin preparations in earnest.

The Mauve and Yellows are hoping to secure a grouph phase berth after crushing out at the final play-off against Congolese side AC Leopards two years ago.
