Medeama defender Augustine Sefah banned and fined

Medeama SC defender Augustine Sefah has been banned for six matches and fined 3,000 Ghana cedis for violent behaviour.

The right-back punched a member of the Red Cross team during their week 7 fixture against Bechem United at the Bechem Park.

Referee E R Barney awarded an infringement to the defender but he notoriously got up from his pain to slap the health personnel.

Sefa received a straight red for his behaviour in the 86th minute in a match which Medeama lost 1-0.

Another Medeama, Alhassan Nurudeen has also picked up a 4,000 Ghana cedi fine for using abusive language on the referee who handled their season opener against Wa All Stars at home.
