Medeama to face 'serial killer' Dong-Bortey in CAF Confederations Cup tie against Panthers

Medeama will be coming up against renowned Ghanaian winger Bernard Dong-Bortey when they take on Panthers FC in the CAF Confederations Cup.

The former Hearts of Oak player is now with the Equatorial Guinean club after ending his stay with Aduana Stars in 2013.

The 31-year-old will expectedly be motivated to prove a point against the club from his home country in the first leg of the opening preliminary round this weekend.

He is also expected to up his performance in the return leg when Medeama plays home to prove his relevance to Ghanaians.

Bortey is best remembered during his nine-year stay with Hearts of Oak during which time he won the inaugural CAF Confederations Cup in 2004 and three Premier League titles.

He has been capped by the Black Stars 27 times with nine goals to his name.
