Two sports journalists were brutalized by irate Medeama fans after their league win over Liberty Professionals on Sunday, GHANAsoccernet.com understands.

The supporters charged on the journalists; Kojo Darko and Kofi Mensah of Takoradi-based Melody FM in their attempt to interview the ball boys for delaying to return the balls whenever they go out of play especially in the dying minutes.

The supporters during their act of criminality, robbed the journalists of their monies worth 115.00 Ghana cedis and almost crashed their mobile phones but for the timely intervention of a Medeama official.

The affected journalist luckily escaped suffering any major injuries but their station has expressed their intent to take police action against the culprits.

A press statement is expected to that effect on Tuesday.
