Medeama fans protest against club's poor form as shock Lions defeat leaves club facing crisis
Hans Vander Pluijm has come under pressure at Medeama

Hundreds of disgruntled Medeama supporters protested against the club's poor run in the Ghana Premier League following their latest setback against Heart of Lions at home.

The angry fans expressed their displeasure with their latest 1-0 home defeat to Heart of Lions and are demanding immediate action against management, coach Hans Vander Pluijm and his backroom staff.

The Mauves and Yellows are currently 12th on the league table, which represent their worst start to the season simce they gained promotion three years ago.

Last season, Medeama dominated matches, created lots of chances, played eye-catching football but those traits has suddenly vanished after just three months, prompting their supporters to voice out their frustration.

The Tarkwa-based side are counting the negatives of allowing a bulk of experienced players to leave as they struggle for points this season.

Most of their key players left the club at the end of last season- which many believe has accounted for their precarious situation.

Ducth trainer Hans Vander Pluijm has his work cut out for him as he builds a side capable of competing for honours at the top level.

But it's obvious it will require a lot of patience from the demanding fans to make that dream happen.

At the moment, they are disenchanted and want immediate solution to their declining fortunes in the country’s top-tier.
