Medeama questioned Hearts of Oak’s resurgence by posting a 2-1 win at the T&A Park on Wednesday in a delayed Premier League match to jump to fourth on the table.

Midfielder Emmanuel Hayford opened the scoring for the visitors with a cracking 20th minute finish before Godbless Asamoah equalized through a fabulous volley to end the first half.

The Mauve and Yellows scored the match winner through a controversial header few minutes into regulation time by Kabiru Moro.

Hearts coach Mohammed Polo was left angry and charged on centre referee John Atikese, claiming a bad goal against his side.

The visitors felt cheated after defender Abraziz Abankwa was fouled prior to Moro nodding home the match winner six minutes from time.

The win has lifted the Tarkwa-based side to fourth on the table.

For Hearts, the defeat will not only be heart-wrenching but a disappointing one after Emmanuel Hayford was rushed to the Tarkwa Government Hospital following a rugby-style challenge from striker Kabiru Moro.
