Medeama to look at youth development ahead of new season
Moses Armah wants to buy young players

Medeama will look to augment their squad with the addition of young players ahead of the new season, club president Moses Armah has told GHANAsoccernet.com.

The Mauve and Yellows struggled to make an impact last season in the Ghanaian top-flight season but did well in their debut CAF Confederation Cup campaign.

The Tarkwa-based side have embarked on a massive restructuring which has seen both the technical and management team disbanded.

Club President Moses Armah has revealed he will not focus on bringing big name players to the side this term.

“The future belongs to the youth and so that’s where the focus will be this year,” he told the club’s official website.

“We want to focus on them and given them the opportunity. This year, we’re not going to buy any high profile player.

“We have to look at player development because that is where the future lies. The rebuilding process is on and we’ll do our best to make it count this year.”

The Tarkwa-based side are yet to kick-start their pre-season campaign.
