Medeama must fight with MO Bejaia in a champagne race for a semi-final spot after giants TP Mazembe secured qualification in the CAF Confederation Cup.

The Yellow and Mauves boosted their chances after their resounding 3-1 win over Young Africans in Sekondi stadium on Tuesday.

The win sees the Ghanaian tied on the same point with the Algerian side, who lost 1-0 at TP Mazembe on Wednesday.

The two teams must now scramble for a place in the semi-final spot with two games remaining in the group.

The stage is now boiled down to which of the two teams will get the passport to join the Ravens after Yanga were booted out of the race.

Medeama host TP Mazembe on August 14 with Young African playing as host of Bejaia a day earlier.

The outcome of the two games will be crucial to the semi-final ambition of the two teams.

A win for both Medeama and MO Bejaia will set the tone for a super clash in Algiers on August 23 where the two teams will meet in a potential cliff hanger.
