Samuel Adade says Medeama is buzzing ahead of Panthers game

Medeama defender Samuel Adade says the squad is ‘buzzing’ ahead of their CAF Confederation Cup return leg against Panthers FC.

Carlos Roberto Paullete’s men will have to protect their 2-1 lead from the first leg to advance to the next phase of the qualifying campaign.

And the right-back, who has impressed heavily since joining from King Faisal, says they are relishing their chances against the Equatorial Guinean side.

"We're looking forward to the game and it's important we put in a positive display against a good team," said Adade.

"The players need to be mentally strong in this game. We beat them at their own backyard and so they will be coming at us like wounded lions.

“We have to be cautious and not get complacent. W have to overcome the nerves of playing at home and ensure we deliver victory.

“I must say however that the spirit in camp is amazing and we’re looking forward to a good game this afternoon.”

Medeama will join fellow Ghanaian side Ebusua Dwarfs in the next round of the qualifiers after the ‘Mysterious’ side held their verve to qualify at the expense of Senegalese side Jaraaf FC in Darkar on Saturday.
