Midfield star Kwame Boahene arrives in Kumasi to cast ballot, Medeama dispel Kotoko switch rumour

Medeama midfielder Kwame Boahene has arrived in Kumasi to cast his ballot in the 2016 Presidential and Parliamentary elections to dispel widespread claims he's close to joining Kotoko.

Media reports had claimed on Tuesday that the dribbling wizard is set to complete a mouth-watering offer to the Porcupine Warriors.

The arrival of the intelligent midfielder fueled speculation he was close to sealing his dream move to the Reds.

But the club has reacted quickly to the claims as untrue.

"The players have been given permission to travel to their respective constituencies to vote and Kwame is one of them," club spokesman Patrick Akoto said

"It has got nothing to do with the player traveling to Kumasi to hold talks with Kotoko.

"Indeed both clubs are in negotiation as we speak but there is no concrete to report

The fleet-footed midfielder has been one of Medeama's most prized asset having excelled heavily for the club in the CAF Confederation Cup this year.

He could become the latest player to leave the Yellow and Mauves after Daniel Amoah and Enoch Attah Agyei were sold to Tanzanian giants Azam FC.

Midfielder Malik Akowuah has joined Hearts of Oak while diminutive winger Samuel Bio has signed a permanent deal with Sudanese side Khartoum SC.
