Medeama will pull out of the off-season GHALCA competition if outstanding monies owed them are not settled, GHANAsoccernet.com can confirm.
The top-four competition, originally designed to serve as a platform for à teams to reap in revenue, has rather lost its spark with enormous complains of unpaid monies.
Medeama are burning from the huge financial debt incurred from their à camping fees resulting from their participation in last season's top-eight.
Officials of the Mauves and Yellows want the clubââ¬â¢s umbrella body to pay them their unpaid monies totaling 42,000 Ghana Cedis or they will be forced to pull the plucks on their involvement.
ââ¬ÅManagement have decided not to play in the top-four until monies due us are paid,â⬠Public Relations Officer Ebenezer Aidoo told GHANAsoccernet.com
ââ¬ÅWe were not paid a dime during last seasonââ¬â¢s top-eight and that has really crippled us financially.
ââ¬ÅWe just want our participating fee to be paid and then we can start thinking about planning for the upcoming one.
ââ¬ÅItââ¬â¢s not easy for a club like Medeama with massive ambitions to be treated that way. We will not be forced into playing in any competition that will not inure to our benefit.ââ¬
The latest situation will be a massive blow for the competition which has already seen Ashantigold withdraw for similar reasons.
Medeama placed fourth last season.
