Medeama will pull out of the off-season GHALCA competition if outstanding monies owed them are not settled, GHANAsoccernet.com can confirm.

The top-four competition, originally designed to serve as a platform for  teams to reap in revenue, has rather lost its spark with enormous complains of unpaid monies.

Medeama are burning from the huge financial debt incurred from their  camping fees resulting from their participation in last season's top-eight.

Officials of the Mauves and Yellows want the club’s umbrella body to pay them their unpaid monies totaling 42,000 Ghana Cedis or they will be forced to pull the plucks on their involvement.

“Management have decided not to play in the top-four until monies due us are paid,” Public Relations Officer Ebenezer Aidoo told GHANAsoccernet.com

“We were not paid a dime during last season’s top-eight and that has really crippled us financially.

“We just want our participating fee to be paid and then we can start thinking about planning for the upcoming one.

“It’s not easy for a club like Medeama with massive ambitions to be treated that way. We will not be forced into playing in any competition that will not inure to our benefit.”

The latest situation will be a massive blow for the competition which has already seen Ashantigold withdraw for similar reasons.

Medeama placed fourth last season.
