Medeama have agreed to terminate the contract of head coach Shaibu Tanko Tuesday morning, GHANAsoccernet.com can reveal.

The former of the former Hearts of Oak assistant coach has been hugely speculated in the local media.

Officials of the Mauves and Yellows have agreed to mutually cancel his contract for his lack of commitment to the club.

Tanko’s dual role as a lecturer at the University College of Education is believed to have affected his concentration on his club duties.

The two parties have mutually agreed to part ways with 13 matches left to end the season.

Tanko was appointed in a substantive capacity following the resignation of Bashir Hayford.

He supervised the side’s 4-0 drubbing at Tema Youth while he was asked to step aside for their MTN FA Cup victory at Wa All Stars.
