Medeama Vice President and PRO at war

There appears to be power play at Medeama between Executive Vice President Albert Commey and Public Relations Officer Ebenezer Kofi Aidoo.

Aidoo was issued a suspension letter which is expected to take effect in October despite the contents instructing with immediate effect for 'gross indiscipline and disrespect for authority'.

But Aidoo insists he is being victimized by Commey who only joined the Premier League club last season from Hearts of Oak where he was then the PRO.

"This is a one person agenda, and he is Albert Commey the Executive Vice President," he told Takoradi-based Melody FM.

"Granted I have been insubordinate or indiscipline, don't I deserve a fair hearing?

"He (Commey) had told people before coming to Tarkwa that I will be the first person he will get rid of when he arrives.

"This has been a calculated attempt, a grand plot to get me out hence all of these things.

"He has been so because I say things the way it ought to be said and because it goes against him he has resorted to hunting me out."

Commey has however defended the decision to suspend the PRO and says he acted most appropriately.

"I had received several complaints of he (Aidoo) misconducting himself before the playing body and the technical team," he said.

"He has prior to that misbehaved himself several times especially towards me but I had to let it go but not this time around.

"I don't hate him as a person but admittedly I don't like his style and this distinction must be made clear.

"The interest of the club must always remain supreme and hence the need to maintain discipline."
