Medeama SC will deal ruthlessly with any player who reports late for pre-season, the club have announced.

In a strong-worded statement issued on Tuesday, officials of the club warned players who fail to report to the team’s training ground latest by Thursday will be punished severely.

“We want to inform our players to report to training by Wednesday or latest by Thursday. Anyone who faults in this regard will suffer severe punishment,” Public Relations Officer of the club Ebenezer Aidoo said.

“We don’t want them to see it as a threat. They must understand that we need to start serious preparations ahead of next season.

“There won’t be any compromises. Players will be responsible for their actions if they fail to adhere to the instructions.

“Management have met and taken a number of far-reaching decisions and so it’s imperative they report within the stipulated time so we can all begin to roll out our plan for the upcoming season.”

Stories have emerged claiming a host of players will be axed from the club for non-performance.

The situation is reported to have created panic among the playing body as they await to know their fate.
