Medeama midfielder Theophilus Anobaah has revealed interest from Al-Ittihad but says he wants to avoid the Yahaya Mohammed situation.

The Libyan club has been accused of signing Yahaya Mohammed to a pre-contract agreement without the consent of his club Asante Kotoko.

The former OGC Nice player however insists he only held discussions with the club.

The Tripoli-based side are now after Medeama’s Theophilus Anobaah who alongside Yahaya Mohammed impressed for Ghana at the 2013 CHAN tournament in South Africa.

Anobaah is however being careful with the offer from Tehaa as he looks to avoid the bad press generated in the alleged move of Yahaya Mohammed.

“The club has sent me an invite and a ticket to travel to Libya to hold further discussions with them but I don’t want a similar situation like that of Yahaya Mohammed to happen to me,” he revealed to Metro FM.

“So I have told them to hold on for me to sort things out with my club and other things before I can make the trip.

“I also want to finish the African campaign before moving somewhere else.”
