Ghana midfielder Michael Essien is hoping that newly appointed Pesib Bandung coach, Roberto Carlos Mario Gomez can help the club achieve its target next season.
The Bandung Tigers started last season with Djajang Nurdjaman in the dug-out before Umuh Munchtar took over the reins in the last embers of the campaign and guided them to a 13th place finish.
The Bandung Lautan Api Stadium outfit have turned to experienced Argentine coach Roberto Carlos Gomez to return the club to its glory days next season.
"I just learned Persib bring in an Argentine coach (Mario Gomez)." said the former penggawa AC Milan and Chelsea is quoted by Bobotoh.id
"Hopefully, he can bring Persib into a better team," he said.
The former AC Milan midfielder scored five goals in twenty-three appearances.
