Michael Essien's 'Night of Hope' charity event set for June 23 in London to raise funds to fight Ebola disease

Ghana midfielder Michael Essien will organize a charity event in London on 23 June to raise funds to fight the deadly Ebola disease.

The event dubbed a ‘Night of Hope’ aims to bring about 300 people together for a night of entertainment and auctions to raise funds for the ?#?UnitedAgstEbola campaign.

The two and half hour event which will be compered by an entertainer/celebrity, will highlight the plight of the Ebola disease in West Africa and the important role education can play in the fight against the spread of the disease.

There will be music, auctions, pledges donations and support for the cause.

All proceeds from the event will go towards the #UnitedAgstEbola Campaign.

The event is being undertaken in collaboration with Watches of Switzerland.
