Middlesbrough's Albert Adomah: Albion did not threaten us much

Winger Albert Adomah felt Brighton Hove and Albion did not offer much of a threat to his side Middlesbrough in their 2-1 win on Saturday in the Championship on the road.

The Ghana international scored the second goal before Albion pulled one back

He believed Middlesbrough had a pretty comfortable afternoon on the South Coast.

But Adomah admitted any win against the Seagulls is an achievement.

“Last season we beat them 2-0 and here we’ve beaten them 2-1, so it's a great achievement to win here two years running,” Adomah said.

“Getting the three points was the main target even though it wasn’t a great game – and we deserved to win.

“When you take the lead you can sometimes relax and with Brighton being at home they were going to put us under pressure. They scored from a set-piece which was a bit disappointing but apart from that they didn’t have many chances.”
