Ghanaian midfielder Gershon Koffie has revealed he rejected several offers to sign for Swedish side Hammarby IF.
Koffie left MLS side New England Revolution and was available on a free transfer.
The 25-year-old signed a three-year contract with Hammarby IF.
''I had a few options in the MLS, there were some from clubs in Turkey, too. But when I heard about Hammarby so felt that I just wanted to get there,'' Koffie told fotbolldirekt.se
Koffie had a trial session at Hammarby in 2009 but feels destiny has brought him back to the club.
''It is a great club. Partly as a football club, but not just in terms of football. Everyone in and around Hammarby are good people. It is a family that I want to be a part of. I see it not just as a football club, but as my family.''
