Mighty Jets have handed in a request to the Ghana Football Association to have their Premier League meeting with Kotoko shifted to the Accra Sports Stadium.

Jets have shuffled between the El-Wak and Accra Sports Stadium this term before moving to the Akosombo Park as their substantive home venue.

The side which is battling relegation wants to cash-in on the status of the Ghanaian giants as thousands are expected to fill the stadia at Akosombo following their startling run in the second half of the league.

Jets claim their venue may not be big enough to contain the travelling Kotoko supporters and want the match moved to the 40 thousand-seater stadium at Accra.

Board chairman Alhaji Suka Braimah told Citi Sports: ''We have sent a request to the GFA to have the match move to Accra because we believe our venue is not big enough and might have security implications.''

''We’re hoping for a favourable response because it’s a crucial game for us and we need get the maximum point to enhance our chances of staying in the top flight league next season.''
