Sulley Muntari eyes vital win at Cagliari

Sulley Muntari wants AC Milan to beat Cagliari in the midweek Serie-A clash to atone for their weekend’s disappointing draw against Fiorentina.

The Rossoneri are winless in two games which have seen them slide down to 6th in the Italian top flight.

Milan appear to be gradually regaining their best form under Filippo Inzaghi and were expected to make a statement of their progress against Fiorentina at the weekend.

But the San Siro outfit failed to hold onto their lead to ultimately drop vital points.

But Muntari wants his side to bounce back from that disappointing result with a good win at Cagliari on Wedsnesday.

“We continue to work as usual. We lost two important points for third place but it is not a drama, we keep working as hard as ever and we get to the end. The Milan staff are doing a great job,” Muntari said.

“The league is close and becoming difficult but we are determined, we are continuing on our way. We worked hard on the pattern.

“We are not happy because we drew, but now we have to think of Cagliari. Now we want to go and win the game in Cagliari.”
