Minnesota United chief Adrian Heath happy with progress of Ghanaian kid Abu Danladi

Minnesota United chief Adrian Heath is delighted with the development of Ghanaian forward Abu Danladi.

The expansion club took the 21-year-old in the Super Draft in January this year.

The Ghanaian has impressed since he joined the Major League Soccer side.

And the club's Chief Executive Adrian Heath is thrilled with the progress of the Ghanaian kid.

“I’d think we’d certainly be closer,” Heath reflected. “I really do. The other thing is that the players have grown. Abu [Danladi]’s not the same kid he was when we took him. He’s a better professional," he told MLSsoccer.com

"If I look at the group as a whole, we’re far more comfortable. We’ve still got a long way to go.”

The 21-year-old, who moved to the United States in 2011, played three seasons for University of California after being named national player of the year at nearby Dunn High School in 2013-14.

Danladi was hampered by injuries during his senior season with the Bruins, appearing in only 11 matches, but still led UCLA with seven goals.
