Two Ghanaian players enjoyed mixed results in the Uefa Champions League play-off on Wednesday night.
Midfielder Seidu Yahaya lasted the entire duration of the match for Israeli champions Maccabi Haifa which defeated Belgian side Genk 2-1 at the Kiryat Eliezer.
Elsewhere at the TRE-FOR Park, Danish side Odense BK piped Spanish side Villarreal 1-0.
Ghana youth winger Wakaso Mubarak warmed the bench for the Yellow Submarine.
Villarreal must overturn the 1-0 goal deficit next Tuesday to progress to the Group stage of the competition.
Yahaya's side, Maccabi Haifa, have to protect their 2-1 lead in the return to be played next Tuesday.
