MNT FA Cup: Kotoko assistant coach eyes Ashantigold scalp to win back fans

Kotoko assistant coach Michael Osei is eyeing a win over Ashantigold to cool fans’ anger in their MTN FA Cup quarter-final clash on Wednesday.

The Porcupine Warriors host the miners in Kumasi anxious to put their Premier League troubles behind them.

The Ghanaian champions slumped to 10th on the league table after a 3-1 defeat at Liberty Professionals last Sunday.

And the club’s assistant coach Michael Osei admits they must grind out result against the league leaders.

“Is not going to an easy game, they are really playing some good football and for that matter I think is going to be tough,” he told Starr Fm.

“But I think we can win because is an important game for us. The team has not been in a good shape. We need to win for our supporters who have been very angry with the team because of the performance in the League.”
