“I’m proud I made the Egyptians happy today by scoring today twice against Congo.

“The game was a difficult one tonight and all the qualifiers were difficult games as well, today there is no big difference between every team and the other.”

Salah will be hoping to maintain his fine form for Liverpool on Saturday as they take on rivals Manchester United at Anfield (12.30pm).

He has made 11 appearances for the Reds this term in all competitions, scoring six goals and providing two assists.
